On spectral radius of strongly connected digraphs

It is known that the directed cycle of order $n$ uniquely achieves the minimum spectral radius among all strongly connected digraphs of order $nge 3$. In this paper, among others, we determine the digraphs which achieve the second, the third and the fourth minimum spectral radii respectively among strongly connected digraphs of order $nge 4$.

Maintenance of Strongly Connected Component in Shared-memory Graph

In this paper, we present an on-line full dynamic algorithm for maintaining strongly connected component of a directed graph in a shared memory architecture. The edges and vertices are added or deleted concurrently by fixed number of threads. To the the best of our knowledge, this is the first work to propose using linearizable concurrent directed graph and is build using both ordered and unord...

Verified Efficient Implementation of Gabow's Strongly Connected Component Algorithm

We present an Isabelle/HOL formalization of Gabow’s algorithm for finding the strongly connected components of a directed graph. Using data refinement techniques, we extract efficient code that performs comparable to a reference implementation in Java. Our style of formalization allows for reusing large parts of the proofs when defining variants of the algorithm. We demonstrate this by verifyin...

On Finding the Strongly Connected Components in a Directed Graph

We present two improved versions of Tarjan's algorithm for the detection of strongly connected components in a directed graph. Our new algorithms handle sparse graphs and graphs with many trivial components (containing only one node) more economically than Tarjan's original algorithm. As an application we present an eecient transitive closure algorithm.

Controllability of giant connected components in a directed network.

When controlling a complex networked system it is not feasible to control the full network because many networks, including biological, technological, and social systems, are massive in size and complexity. But neither is it necessary to control the full network. In complex networks, the giant connected components provide the essential information about the entire system. How to control these g...
